Many of the myths and legends we have were developed to fill in the blanks that we had in the past. We the human race fear the unknown all creatures fear the unknown if you have a friends over for the first time and your dog sees them there first instinct is to be afraid and cautious. We’re the same we have more questions and when they can’t be answered we make our own answers. Some of our answers are based in truth but we fill in the blanks with our ideas. For example weather in the past we didn’t know about how storms are formed but we knew the sighs that one was coming. This could be the reason that some myths give the power to call storms, tragedies, and plagues to gods and demons. Many stories give them powers and abilities to give reason and explanations about the world and what happens around us.
